A common trend I see with high performers is shoulder pain
And it makes sense why especially the ex athletes among them are having issues with their joints.
They used to be in athletic shape and then as they got in business, the abs slowly became soft.
Every time they aim to get back in shape, they pick up the weights where they left them.
A client who’s an ex pro athlete, who’s name I’m going to keep confidential, was in the same boat.
He worked with 4 trainers in the last 10 years.
Initially he saw quick results and it he started to regain his athletic abilities.
Yet every time as he progressed with weights, his shoulder started to hurt.
His trainers said that’s normal and he should push himself harder.
“no pain, no gain” as they say.
And if he quits now, then he just doesn’t want it bad enough.
But not every pain is good pain.
Sometimes it’s a burn when you push yourself, sometimes it’s a burn that knocks you out for months.
In this case, the pain was the latter.
It got so bad that he had to give up training completely for a few months.
And usually when you’re out of the training schedule, your diet goes downhill with it.
Why that is, is a story for another day.
So in 2023 this ex pro athlete reached out to me via email.
A friend gave him my contact information.
We started him right away with a Body Flexibility Assessment.
This is a full body audit done by Dr. Raul on my team.
He’s got a Doctor Of Chiropractic and that’s his bread and butter.
Raul quickly identified weak spots in his posture and pain patterns that this client was having.
He set up a call with him and also monitored his form when training upper body.
Combined with this information, he then set up a custom mobility routine and training program.
Within 9 weeks this ex athlete was completely pain free and lifting heavier weights than he did in years.
It’s why we integrated this year a body flexibility assessment for all our clients in the onboarding.
Even if they didn’t experience any pain in the past, we use a preventative pain management approach to create custom blueprint for every client.
This assessment is so powerful that it saves clients form painful future injuries, that may lead to surgery down the road.
Ask any guy who had surgery and he’ll tell you he’ll pay anything to go back in time and train properly to avoid it.
This is what separates the Kinetic Method from working with a regular trainer.
Most trainers and fitness instructors probably live 10-15min from the gym they work at.
It’s very unlikely they are world class at their craft.
Our team has elite level coaches and staff with nursing, PA and doctors degrees.
The key to regaining vintage levels of strength and stamina and keep those is being able to train consistently over years and decades.
This is not for everyone though.
It’s not for guys who want another 6 week fitness challenge that they can get on ChatGPT and like to consume everything but never implement.
It’s for smart guys who understand the value of working on prevention before the issue flares up.
Who had trainers before that didn’t really work out well and treated everyone the same and now want a custom blueprint with expert support.
